The bulbs are usually fine — the light just can't get through. An oxidized lens scatters the beam instead of projecting it, so less light lands on the road and more of it glares at oncoming traffic. Our Process — and Why DIY Kits Haze Back
- Mask & inspect — surrounding paint and trim protected before anything touches the lens.
- Staged wet-sanding — the oxidized layer is removed in progressively finer grits, not smeared around.
- Machine polish — the lens is refined back to optical clarity.
- UV-cure sealant — the step that matters. The factory haze happened because the original UV coating failed; polishing without re-sealing leaves bare polycarbonate that clouds again within months. Our UV sealant is why the result lasts years, not months.
